Role – Provision of professional project services, supporting ADB Safegate in the phased delivery of a fully integrated Airfield Ground Lighting System, enabling safe and efficient operations of a Three Runway System at Hong Kong International Airport.

UAE: Fujairah International Airport - Airport Expansion Project (FIA/ADAC)

Role - 1: Design Consultants - Provision of Airfield Ground Lighting system design services, including the production of 75%, 90% & 100% design drawings and documents. Project includes the design and construction of a new standby runway and associated exit taxiways, the upgrade and extension of existing runway, taxiways and apron areas.

​

Role - 2:  Designer of Record - Provision of Design Review services (System designs by BAES) for Air Traffic Control Tower, Navigation (ILS), Communication (UHF/VHF) and Meteorological (AWOS) airside systems.

UAE: Fujairah International Airport - Airport Upgrade Package 2 Tender

Client: Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies LLC

Role:  Provision of technical support during Tender phase, to enable the submission of a competitive and fully compliant offer.  Including the review and optimisation of existing Airfield Ground Lighting designs, and the production of Bills of Quantities for each Airfield Ground Lighting scheme.

KSA: Dirab Airbase (Riyadh) - Provision of Apache & Black Hawk helicopter training facilities

Client: NESMA/AQESA

Consultant/End User: Saudi National Guard (SANG)

Role: Provision of technical support services to review a Shop Drawing design completed for the Airfield Ground Lighting system and all associated infrastructure. To assess degree of compliance with relevant UFC & FAA standards and recommended practices. Production of UFC/FAA compliant Shop Drawing designs for taxiway edge lighting, taxiway guidance signage and pavement markings.

EGYPT: Regional Airport (Berenice) – Airfield Ground Lighting Upgrade

Role: Survey and assessment of existing Meteorological system and associated power and communications networks.   Production of systems and associated infrastructure designs for the Meteorological system and for associated power and communication networks, including the production of detailed Shop (Installation) and As-Built drawings.

Provision of a fully integrated Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System

​Role:  Provision of support services (Design & Implementation), which involved the production of structural engineering design calculations and shop drawings for various AVDGS mounting pole types and their foundations.  Design of power and control circuits and associated infrastructure.

Role: Production of Airfield Ground Lighting (CAT I - Approaches, runway, taxiways & aprons) and associated infrastructure designs, including the production of detailed Shop (Installation) and As-Built drawings.

PAKISTAN: Allama Iqbal International Airport (Lahore) – CAT IIIB Upgrade

Client: Safegate Gulf LLC

Role (Package 1): – Design of a fully integrated Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System (AGL-CAT IIIB, MLAT, ILS/GP, ILS/LLZ, SMR & AVDGS), including design of associated infrastructure (Power & Communications). 

 

As this was a Fast Track project all designs were completed on site.

Role (Package 2): Oversee and manage the installation, testing & commissioning of all components of a fully integrated Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System (AGL-CAT IIIB, MLAT, ILS/GP, ILS/LLZ, SMR & AVDGS).

 

This involved the provision of an on-site Construction Support Team consisting of:  Construction Manager, Technical Supervisors (x2), Installation Technicians (x3) & CAD Technician (x1).

Provision of High Mast Apron Floodlighting

Role:  Production of system designs to enable remote & automatic control (PLC type control) of existing apron floodlighting and obstruction lighting located on all aircraft parking stands (x78).

TURKEY: New Grand Airport (Istanbul)

Tender for the provision of a complete Airfield Ground Lighting System (CAT IIIB)

Client: Eaton/Crouse Hinds

Role:  Provision of technical support during Tender phase, to enable the submission of a competitive and fully compliant offer.   Design of Low Visibility taxiway routes (CAT IIIB-Arrivals & Departures), which were to be implemented in phases during a five-year construction period. This involved the production of a Concept of Operations for the safe and efficient ground movement of aircraft and the design of suitable taxiway routes for all meteorological conditions.
